At the dawn of the French rally, Sébastien finished 3rd of the Power Stage, ensuring him to become 2013 WRC Champion. Sébastien is performing almost a perfect 2013 season with his co-driver Julien Ingrassia on their Volkswagen Polo WRC : 6 wins, 2 second places and 9 power stages scored so far. He’s even secured the title with still almost 3 rallies to race and becomes the 3rd French rally driver to become World Rally Champion.
TAG Heuer ambassador for eyewear & watches for 3 years, Sébastien Ogier wears all year long TAG Heuer products at his wrist (TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 chronograph) and covering his eyes (TAG Heuer LRS Eyewear). Over these first years of partnership, Sébastien Ogier was involved in the development of new technical eyewear proven to be a fantastic help under difficult weather conditions he is enduring during WRC season (orange glasses for “white days” or Night Vision glasses for night stages).
In 2013, his involvement with TAG Heuer went beyond his amazing season in WRC: besides his implication in product developement, Sébastien raced the Porsche Supercup in Monaco, over the F1 Grand-Prix week-end, in a TAG Heuer branded car celebrating the 50 years anniversary of TAG Heuer Carrera chronograph.
All rallies of the 2013 FIA World Rally Championship are exclusively timed by TAG Heuer Timing systems.
