TAG Heuer Avant-Garde Eyewear has once again received a prestigious Red Dot Design Award for one of its premium eyewear designs:
the L-TYPE T, the latest in the leading-edge L-TYPE series.
To receive the highly prestigious and exclusive Red Dot Design Award is an incredible achievement that many international companies strive for. This 4th Red Dot Design Award won by TAG Heuer Avant-Garde Eyewear underlines once again the recognition from the industry and highlights the strong will to maintain perfection in every product of the collection.
The Red Dot Design Award is presented by Germany’s own Design Zentrum Nordhein Wesfalen. Over 4,800 entries were received from 53 different countries only to be crucially examined by a jury made up of 40 world renowned industrial engineers. As with every year the Red Dot jury searched high and mighty for a truly spectacular design.
They found it in the TAG Heuer Eyewear L-Type T. It is the latest iteration fostered from years of research and development coming from L-Type LW which itself won a Red Dot Design Award in 2011. TAG Heuer Eyewear first won a Red Dot Design Award with the Physics Sport Vision in 2002, the year that TAG Heuer first eyewear collection was launched. Validation runs its natural course when products of this caliber are designed and manufactured by hand in France. The L-Type is one of TAG Heuer Eyewear’s iconic products that continues to provide inspiration and awe for the rest of the industry. The L-Type series was launched in 2006 with the clear objectives resulting in one absolute goal: to reach the ultimate pillar of excellence.
Handmade in France, the L-Type T features the most exclusive materials coupled with patented technology to bring forth the essence of the TAG Heuer DNA. Soft calfskin leather is hand turned and overstitched on the exterior of the temples to showcase ultimate quality. Elastomer is deployed on the inside of the temples to ensure comfort and an exceptional hold. The TAG Heuer logo is subtly embossed on the leather so as to manifest an understated presence.
